Earth Observation - Focus on Earth

Earth Observation - Focus on Earth
The majority of all launched rockets carry satellites into space. More than 150 of these are used for Earth observation. From orbit, the Earth can be mapped down to the last corner, the weather can be monitored, and more sustainability can be ensured on Earth. And because climate change affects us all, this workshop will focus on monitoring infrastructure vegetation, measuring soil moisture, and detecting forest fires early. All of this is already being done reliably from space thanks to innovative technologies. In this workshop, we will evaluate and interpret real satellite data. From these observations, we will draw valuable conclusions on how to deal with the consequences of climate change.
